Swords into plowshares

We finally got Dangerboy a Light Saber. All his friends have them. (Has he seen Star Wars? Of course not. He likes the show at Disneyland though.) He calls it a Light Saver, which I think is a nice image.

Similarly, he picked up the phrase “You wanna piece of me?” from Toy Story and uses it when wrestling with Daddy. But he’s modified it into the somewhat less-confrontational “Don’t eat a piece of me!”

And in the toy aisle the other day, DB pointed to a toy tank, and said, “Dad, what’s this?”

“A tank,” said P.

DB: “Daddy have a tank. A fish tank. This is not a tank. This is a tractor tank.”
