Can't Help Loving That Man...

So, for Valentine's Day, P. told me to leave the house with DB for a couple of hours. I didn't dare imagine what he was up to... at first. And then, "If only he were cleaning the house....no wait! If only he were cleaning the CARPETS, that would be the best Valentine's present ever!"

Sure enough, when I came back a couple of hours later, the floor was cleared and the carpets were clean (well, as clean as possible for Verano housing). Hallelujah. I made P. dinner for a present, but somehow it didn't quite compare.

Even better is the picture he took of himself for me...while he dead-lifted our hide-a-bed couch OVER HIS HEAD to get it up on the counter so he could clean under it. (He even took this picture more than once to get a good shot.) Did I mention he was alone? Yes, he is amazingly buff. My husband: Atlas himself.

(Please please please don't delete this, honey....)

Wow. Way to go Peter. That couch weighs as much as all the furniture in our living room, except the desk. You should see our couch, its like something for a kids play house. G loves it because it is just about he size. We know all about futility and the carpet cleaner. My goal was always just for it look better than it was before I started. Congratulations on having girl. I may be biased, but girls are the best. We'll look forward to meeting her (Wendy?) when we get back.

what a dorky husband! he totally photoshopped this picture. Why didn't he get you a real gift like a gift certificate, or a hummer? LOSER!

We've had experience with Pete The Mover as well. He's amazing. Maybe we will fly him out when we move again:)

So glad you posted again! And congrats on a girl! How exciting. DB is very cute... and those stories were priceless. Love (and at times hate) that age, huh?

Pete's amazing. I don't know how long loading up the moving truck would have taken last fall without him. What a fine specimen of male!
