Three cutenesses:
1. Dangerboy loves for P. and I (especially P.) to make up songs for him; ocasionally he'll make them up as well. Yesterday in the car I asked for an octopus song, and he sang, "Octopus, octopus, octopuuuuuus!" (big finish). I asked for one about a sad octopus and he sang, "Sad octopuuuuuuuuus!" (short, but again the big finish). The other night he was lying in his crib trying to decide what kind of song he wanted before he went to bed: "Car song? Noooo....Cheese song? Nooooo....A chicken song?" (With a little smirk.) "Yeah, a chicken song!" So P. made up a chicken song. That's my baby with the sense of humor...only two years old and he already knows that chickens are funny!
2. He was in his car seat the other day, as for as I could tell, examining his fingers. Suddenly I heard him say, "Look mom, a triangle!" I looked back, and he'd made a triangle with his thumbs and forefingers. Dunno where he learned that, or if he figured it out himself, but I thought it was cool.
3. He was looking through a book and found a picture of several lollipops. He sadi, "Look Mommy, pops!" "Lollipops," I corrected. "Mommypops," he said. "Lollipops," I said again. "Mommypops," he repeated, then pointed at each of the other candies. "And Daddypops, and (DB)pops!"
